Florida Woman Arrested for Leaving Easter Eggs Filled with Explicit Content in Mailboxes

FCSO

A Florida woman was arrested after placing Easter eggs filled with graphic adult images in people’s mailboxes. According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO), the department received multiple calls from local residents starting on April 5, who had found the suspicious packages left in their mailboxes.

The callers noticed that the flags attached to their mailboxes were in the “up” position and decided to look in their mailbox. According to one caller, they found a plastic Easter egg and inside the egg “was a cracker in the shape of a fish, one sheet of toilet paper, a powdered drink mix, and a crumpled up piece of paper containing [adult] images.”

After receiving the calls, the local Sheriff had harsh words for the individual leaving the eggs.

“The person who did this is not only a very sick individual but could actually be spreading COVID-19 by their actions,” Sheriff Rick Staly said before making the arrest. “We are working to identify the offender and put them in the Green Roof Inn. If anyone else receives something like this or has information on who did this, we ask that you call us immediately.”

On a side note, the “Green Roof Inn” is what Sheriff Staly calls the county jail. He had a neon vacancy sign installed outside jail and many residents aren’t very happy about it.

After issuing the statement and receiving several calls, the office’s Problem Area Crime Enforcement Unit found a suspect.

On April 8, after the office received several more calls from residents about the explicit eggs, the Problem Area Crime Enforcement (PACE) Unit began to search areas where the reports were coming from.

The police spotted a suspicious car and conducted a traffic stop. They questioned the driver, 42-year-old Abril Cestoni and conducted an investigation. They found a bag full of adult pictures that the suspect referred to as “pamphlets.” The police asked the suspect about the bag and she admitted to placing the items in the mailboxes stated that she was “educating people.”

Cestoni was charged with 11 counts of distributing obscene material in the eggs.

Cestoni was charged with 11 counts of distributing obscene material, as well as driving with a suspended license. She was also charged with violating Florida’s stay-at-home order for travel not related to an essential activity.

“Our team did a great job in tracking this deranged offender down and taking her into custody,” the sheriff said in the statement. “Thankfully she did not appear to be sick with COVID-19 symptoms, but she certainly needs some help.”

Fortunately, there have been no reports of children finding the lewd Easter eggs.
