Eva Mendes explained in a recent radio interview with Sydney’s Nova 96.9 how Ryan Gosling changed her life.
Mendes went on to reveal how she did not exactly dream of being a parent before she met Gosling.
“I was lucky enough to work my bum off for 20 years,” she said.
“I never wanted babies before until I fell in love with Ryan, and then it just kind of worked out to where I was 40 and having my first baby and then I think I was 42 with my second one, so it worked out in that way that I had a career and then I changed my focus to my family.”
And in her last film in 2014, she welcomed her first child. Since then, Mendes has been focused on motherhood but wants women to know they can have it both.

“I never want to send the wrong message to young women out there,” she shared. “It’s not an either/or situation.”
And with their daughters, Esmeralda, 6, and Amada, 4, being a little bit older, Mendes is thinking its time to step back into her acting career.
“Now I’m thinking of definitely going back,” she shared, “I feel like it’s time.”

That being said, the star is a bit picky when it comes to her next list of projects: “The list is getting shorter and shorter of stuff that I’ll do.”
Mendes revealed how she would not do anything violent or risqué. “I think the only thing that’s left is like Disney,” she shared.
She joked: “I just need Ryan Gosling to direct another film and then hire me.”
