Fans can’t get over former NFL star Eric Decker’s latest Instagram post. And many are applauding him for his honesty.
Nearly two months ago, on February 9, country music star Jessie James Decker and Eric Decker welcomed their fourth child into the world, their third son Denver Calloway Decker.
Denver was born weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces.
His birth and his name is an ode to his father’s football career. Eric, who wore the number 87 throughout his entire career, was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2010. He retired in 2018 as a New England Patriot.
Now, Decker has retired again. This time from having anymore kids.
On March 25, Decker revealed that he had a vastectomy. And in dramatic fashion, Decker revealed, “I survived.”
In the post, Eric Decker shared several photos from his recovery, including himself wearing a shirt that read, “Vasectomy survivor. I kid you not.”
And people in the comments loved his honesty. “Thanks for sharing and normalizing vasectomies,” one commenter wrote. “They are safe, quick and relatively easy recovery!”
“I can’t stop loling at this post!! Love it,” another commenter added.

And many of the women in the comments made sure to remind Eric to be sure to attend his follow up appointments, because even vasectomies aren’t permanent solutions.
“Go to your follow ups… I know too many people who have had a little surprise happen after theirs,” one person warned.
“Now make sure to get your stuff checked again to make sure you’re shooting blanks! Too many post vasectomy babies,” another commenter added.
