Elmo has learned the importance of checking in on the ones Elmo loves.
On January 29, Elmo took to X to check in on his’s followers. “Elmo is just checking in,” he wrote. “How is everybody doing?”
Nearly 200 million people saw the tweet and more than 13,000 people replied. A lot of people used the puppet’s X account has a safe place, sharing that a lot of people are feeling dread at the moment.
“Every morning, I cannot wait to go back to sleep. Every Monday, I cannot wait for Friday to come. Every single day and every single week for life,” one X user wrote.
“I’m at my lowest. Thanks for asking,” another added. “Elmo I’m suffering from existential dread over here,” said another.
And while a lot of people admitted they “did not have us all trauma dumping on Elmo on my bingo card,” Elmo admitted he learned a very valuable lesson through everyone’s responses.
“Wow! Elmo is glad he asked,” the beloved Sesame Street puppet wrote. “Elmo learned that it is important to ask a friend how they are doing. Elmo will check in again soon, friends! Elmo loves you.”
