Wearing white is always risky; spills are bound to happen, and we all know how difficult stains can be to get out. Eleanor Walton, though, recently showed us that you can indeed make wine out of vinegar with this ingenious way of dealing with a red wine stain.
Eleanor and her friends were at the Ripon horse race in North Yorkshire, England when a bit of red wine spilled on her very clean, very white Pretty Little Thing jumpsuit.

“So we’re 2 hours into the races, and el comes and tells me someone has spilt red wine down her… no problem. Got some more red wine and fixed it and I think we’ve just made a new product to PLTs festival range,” Eleanor’s friend, Mia Williamson, tweeted along with before-and-after photos of Eleanor.
Eleanor considered going home and changing, but decided to make the best of the situation. She and Mia, who shared the original photos that have since gone viral, took another four glasses of wine and splashed them on the halter top and around the pants, creating a lovely light maroon halter top and tied-dyed style pants. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
Eleanor herself shared a mid-process photo of the ingenious fashion hack. In the picture, she is seen using the hand dryer in the bathroom to dry out the wine she’d just poured all over her outfit.
People are loving the new style. The post has been retweeted more than 21,000 times and has more than 214,000 likes. Reviews of the new look were mixed, with some calling it inventive and others noting she probably smelled like stale wine all day.
Pretty Little Thing loved the new style, though, responding to Williamson’s tweet, “Safe to say that wasn’t a ‘pour’ decision.”
Something to try the next time we spill red wine on our white clothing? Maybe. We might rather live with the stain and drink the four glasses of wine if we’re being honest.
