It’s January 5th, which means we get to celebrate the 77th birthday of a legendary actress and director – Diane Keaton. She reminded everyone of her special day in a funny Instagram video that featured her singing ‘Happy Birthday to Me.’ At the end of the video, she lets out one of her famous little chuckles.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE… ME!” she captioned the post. The 77-year-old actress was born on January 5, 1946, in Los Angeles, CA, and grew inspired to become an actress after watching her mother win the ‘Mrs. Los Angeles’ pageant for homemakers – citing the theatricality of the event.
She went on to participate in singing/acting clubs throughout high school before dropping out of college to pursue a career in entertainment. She joined the Actors’ Equity Association and eventually made her film debut in 1970 – her breakthrough came in 1972 when she was cast as Kay Adams in The Godfather.
