Shortly after former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans revealed that she left her husband of two years, David Eason, he spoke out in response to their separation.
According to Eason’s response, he believes Jenelle is “stupid” for leaving him, E! News reports. After an Instagram user wrote, “So glad Jenelle got smart!” in the comments section of one of Eason’s posts, he responded to the user saying, “Nope, she’s still stupid.”

That specific exchange, along with all of his other comments, have since been disabled.
On November 1, Evans took to Instagram to share a statement explaining why she decided to end her marriage and take her children with her. Evans and Eason share one biological child together, 2-year-old Ensley. However, between Eason’s two children from previous relationships and Jenelle’s two sons from previous relationships, the couple had five children in and out of their home at any given time.
Evans wrote in her statement:
“I’ve mostly kept off social media these past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions. I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty. But its been my life. Like anyone else, I want what’s best for my kids and I want to be happy. With time away from Teen Mom I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now. The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know what is best for me, and for my kids. Today I’ve filed papers to start that process. I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked me how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together. But you’ll hear from us again soon.”
Just two days before Evans made the news of their separation public, Eason shared a photo of Jenelle and Ensley walking down a street together.
He captioned the photo, “The most perfect sight I’ve ever seen!” A source told E! News that leaving Eason was the best thing Jenelle could have done for her children’s safety and for her career.
However, the drama doesn’t end there. According to a Facebook post made by Eason on November 5, four days after Jenelle’s statement was made, Eason filed a missing person report for both his estranged wife and their daughter, Ensley. “So since Jenelle has disappeared and I have no contact with her or Ensley. I have no option but to file a missing person’s report,” he reportedly wrote.
As Radar reports, that post was deleted shortly after it was shared with the public. Now, Eason is taking off his wedding ring.
The day after alleging that he filed a missing person report, Eason took to his Instagram story to share that he has officially removed his wedding ring.
Evans has remained quiet on social media despite Eason’s activity. It’s unclear if the pair have been in touch privately since he reported her and their daughter missing. However, according to People, Evans has reportedly filed for a restraining order against Eason.
The documents allegedly state that “because of his recent threats, his history of violence, his erratic behavior and his large stockpile of weapons, I am scared for my life and my children’s well-being.”
The couple’s official split comes just months after Evans and Eason were surrounded in controversy after she alleged that Eason killed her beloved French bulldog, Nugget. The investigation led to both Eason and Evan losing custody of their children for some time.

It also led to Evans being fired by MTV.
