Since August 2016, one of Jon and Kate Gosselin‘s sextuplets, Collin, has been in an institution that is dedicated to helping him become the best him he can be.
The mom of eight explained to People in the past:
“Collin has special needs. [There’s] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things. This has been a struggle we’ve had for a very long time, and it’s one I’ve dealt with on my own. I’ve felt very alone in this. By the same token, it’s not something that has only impacted me or him — our entire family has been impacted.”
While Kate hasn’t gone into much more detail than that, fans have continued to ask questions about Collin’s prognosis and when he will be able to return home to be with his siblings.
It wasn’t until May 2018 that fans got their first look at Collin since entering the institution when Jon and Hannah visited him for their birthday.
Now, six months later, Jon is giving his followers another glimpse at his son. And by the looks of it, a lot has changed since Collin’s 14th birthday.

It remains unclear just when Collin will move back in with one of his parents permanently.
