The star of Little Women: LA, Christy McGinity, is mourning the loss of her daughter. Christy and her boyfriend Gonzalo Justo Carazo named their daughter Violet when she was born on March 6, just two weeks ago.

Violet was born seven weeks premature. The couple released a statement to E! News, saying “It is with our deepest sorrow that we send our baby girl Violet Eva Carazo to play with the angels. We were able to spend two weeks with our sweet baby girl and for that we are forever thankful,” they shared. “Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated.”

The couple did not mention the cause of death but Christy was only 33-weeks pregnant when she gave birth. Their daughter spent the majority of her time in neonatal intensive care where Christy and Gonzalo shared precious moments with her.

Gonzalo shared images from the NICU after one week, writing, “Happy One Week Old Birthday to our Baby Girl Violet. Thank U for making me a Dad and bringing me an entire new perspective during your first week of Life. We love you so much!”

The couple announced Violet’s birth two weeks ago and asked for fans to keep the family in their thoughts writing, “Our sweet Violet Eva has arrived. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.”

The couple celebrated signing their daughter’s birth certificate together. Christy even posted a video to Instagram of the occasion. Gonzalo is ready, pen in hand, and says “I’m singing my daughter’s birth certificate right now,” followed by a thumbs up.

Christy was very public about the difficulties of her pregnancy and posted often on Instagram about them. In March, she shared, “It’s been a rough few weeks.”

A month before in February, Christy shared images of herself in the hospital attached to a monitor. She captioned the images, “She is not ready. Please pray that contractions stop.”

Christy is mother to two children, Autumn and Trent from a previous marriage.

We know this is a difficult time for the family and we hope they take the time they need to mourn their loss.
