Cassidy Gifford is due any second now. The 29-year-old daughter of Kathie Lee Gifford took to her Instagram Story on Friday (June 23) to celebrate her little one’s due date – sharing a photo of her placing her hand over her massive baby bump. It won’t be long until she can finally say she’s a mother of one.
The photo comes just six months after the couple announced the pregnancy. They did so in an adorable way, sharing a photo of their Christmas-themed fireplace that featured a baby stocking in-between a much larger red and white stocking. “Our little peanut arriving June 2023,” she wrote in the caption.
Cassidy has been rather quiet on social media since then, but posted a photo of her and her husband, Ben Wierda, at a wedding on April 24 – and yes, the baby bump was in full effect. “Baby’s first wedding & Ben’s first time in the sun,” she wrote in the caption – referring to the sunburn he was sporting on his face.

Just a few weeks ago, Cassidy Gifford posted an old photo of her kissing her man as they celebrated their third wedding anniversary. “Everything about you is my favorite. Happy 3rd anniversary to my best friend, husband and baby daddy. I love you so much,” she wrote, just weeks away from being a first-time parent.
Gifford and Wierda have been best friends for an extremely long time, but it wasn’t until her father, Frank Gifford, died in 2015 that they struck up a romance. Four years later, in the fall of 2019, Wierda popped the big question and Gifford said yes! They got married in June 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
While they originally wanted a big wedding, the pandemic caused them to switch gears and, instead, enjoyed an intimate ceremony with family in Michigan. A second ceremony followed in October 2021, when pandemic restrictions were looser and easier to work with. A year later, they were pregnant!
Cassidy Gifford is the only daughter of Kathie Lee Gifford and Frank Gifford, who died of natural causes on August 9, 2015. She has an older brother, Cody Gifford, and has three step-siblings – step-brothers Kyle Gifford and Jeff Gifford, and step-sister Vicky Gifford-Kennedy – from her father’s first marriage.
Cassidy Gifford Isn’t the Only One in the Family Expecting a Child
Believe it or not, Cassidy Gifford isn’t the only one in the family expecting a child – though she is next in line. Just a few weeks ago, on June 2, her brother, Cody Gifford, announced he and his wife, Erika Gifford, were expecting their second child – they gave birth to their first child, Frankie, on May 31, 2022.
That means Kathie Lee Gifford is going to be a two-time grandmother in a matter of days and a three-time grandmother by the end of winter. Cody and Erika shared the exciting news in an Instagram post that featured a video montage of Frankie, the pregnancy test, her baby bump, and visits to the baby doctor.
“Baby Gifford #2 coming this winter. Celebrating 1 year of #FrankieFriday s in a BIG way. Thank you so much for all of the love and prayers. It has meant the world. Gifford, party of 4!!!” Erika wrote in the caption. “Please start sending me names that start with the rest of the days of the week.”

The incoming baby’s aunt, Cassidy Gifford, expressed her excitement in the comments section. “Can’t get over the greatest news! Love you guys can’t wait to meet the precious little one,” she wrote. It’s a happy and growing family that’s making Kathie Lee Gifford one proud mother and grandmother.
