Carrie Underwood is showing her fans that being a worldwide superstar isn’t getting in the way of her real job – being a mother. The Denim & Rhinestones artist was thumbing through old photos when she shared a video to her Instagram that shows how she balances motherhood when on tour or out of town.
“Was looking through photos from last year and stumbled across this video message I sent to my youngest, Jake, regarding his progress in potty training. Enjoy the ridiculous voice and attempts at encouragement. ????” she wrote in the caption. The video was cringe-worthy, but in an adorable way.
At the bottom of the caption, Underwood added a little update that her son is now fully potty trained. The video has been liked more than 60,000 times in the past two days and the comments were filled with laughter – while other users took the time to commemorate her for juggling her career with being a mom.

“Jakey-boo, good job! Way to go, you went pee-pee in the potty! YAY!” she said in a high-pitched baby voice. “Good job, baby, I’m so proud of you! That makes Mommy so happy! Good job! Woohoo!” she continues. It’s the type of excitement and pride that only a mother or father could possibly understand.
Carrie Underwood shares two children with former NHL player Mike Fisher. The two met in 2008, got engaged in 2009, and tied the knot in 2010. The couple waited five years before welcoming their first son, Isaiah Michael, in 2015 and had their second child – another son named Jacob Bryan – four years later.
On January 21, just a few days before she posted her hilarious video, Carrie Underwood took to Instagram to celebrate Jacob’s fourth birthday. She shared a photo of Jacob as a toddler and showed off his incredible two-tier birthday cake – which had a Spiderman theme and looked extremely delicious.
“This was yesterday…and now you are 4. ???? Happy birthday, sweet Jake…my sunshine!!! God truly blessed us when he gave us the miracle of you!!! We love you! ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks, @iveycakestore for the adorable and delicious cake! You guys are the best!” she wrote in the heartfelt and touching caption.
