Rapper Cardi B and her husband of nearly three years, fellow rapper Offset, are calling it quits. The news of their separation comes after Cardi B filed for divorce.
Cardi B and Offset share a daughter together, 2-year-old Kulture. The mom of one reportedly filed the court document in Georgia, which indicates she’s seeking a dissolution of marriage, according to TMZ. The estranged couple got married in a bedroom in 2017 in Georgia.
Cardi B Files For Divorce from Offset
Cardi is also seeking physical and legal custody of their baby girl. However, there have been conflicting reports on whether or not Cardi is seeking child support from Offset.
According to TMZ, the rapper is seeking an unknown amount of child support from Kulture’s father. But according to Page Six’s report, while Cardi did initially ask for child support, she later filed “an amended petition that axed her initial requests,” seemingly changing her mind.
As Page Six reports, the mom “is now asking the court to ‘honor and enforce any custodial arrangement’ she and Offset come up with and to do the same with child support, which they will jointly handle, according to the new legal documents.”
In the initial court documents obtained by TMZ, Cardi B explained that she and Offset are already separated and have no plans of ever reconciling their romantic relationship. And because she asked for “an equitable division of all marital assets,” TMZ believes the estranged couple never had a prenup.
Offset has a history of being unfaithful to Cardi B. In fact, Offset got on stage during one of Cardi’s concerts with several hundred roses to beg for her forgiveness after cheating on her in 2018, several months after getting married. The rapper did eventually forgive him.
It’s unclear if his infidelity is the reason for their decision to get divorced. Page Six reports that Offset has yet to respond to Cardi’s filing.

Neither Offset nor Cardi B has publicly acknowledged their impending divorce on social media. Instead, Cardi has been promoting the latest song she’s on called Me Gusta by Anitta and also featuring Myke Towers.
