Reality TV personality and failed California gubernatorial candidate, Caitlyn Jenner, signed a new deal with Fox News Media as a contributor.
Audiences can expect to see the former Olympic athlete Thursday on Hannity.
An Executive At Fox News Called Caitlyn Jenner an ‘Inspiration to Us All.’
Fox News Media’s CEO Suzanne Scott released a statement announcing the collaboration. “Caitlyn’s story is an inspiration to us all,” the press release said. “She is a trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community and her illustrious career spans a variety of fields that will be a tremendous asset for our audience.”
In an Instagram post that went live shortly after the announcement, Jenner expressed her own feelings about the new agreement. “I am humbled by this unique opportunity to speak directly to @foxnews millions of viewers about a range of issues that are important to the American people,” the message said beneath a photo of Jenner appearing on the network.
Despite coming out as trans in 2015, the former Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has held firm to her conservative beliefs drawing stark criticism from those in the LGBTQIA+ community.
For instance, in 2015, Jenner appeared on The Ellen Show shortly after coming out as trans. A lifelong Republican, Jenner was asked about her views on same-sex marriage at the time.
“I’m older than most people in the audience,” Caitlyn said. “I kind of like tradition, and it’s always been a man and a woman, and I’m thinking ‘I don’t quite get it,’” she said, before noting that her stance had changed over the years.
In a 2020 interview with People, Jenner opened up about her political stances. She explained that she’s always been more “economically conservative” and much “more progressive socially.”
“I want to see the government out of my face, out of my regulations,” she said at the time. “I want a thriving economy so we have the money to help the people who need to be helped.”
In recent years, Jenner has been increasingly active in elected politics, running for Governor of California last year. Her Democratic opponent earned 5.8 million votes with Jenner only getting 1% of the total vote.
The Olympic Decathlon Gold Medalist has appeared on Fox News numerous times in recent months to offer her opinions on everything from cancel culture to the NCAA’s policy on trans athletes.
Despite being a trans, former athlete herself, she has gone against consensus in the trans community about the participation of trans athletes competing against other athletes of their same gender expression.

Viewers should expect a lot more commentary on these issues and others on the conservative outlet. If history is a lesson, she’ll be toeing the far right’s line and angering many in the trans community that once embraced her with open arms.
