Since his announcement, Emma has been sharing bits and pieces of their summer together. Much of which included adorable bits of family time.

However, in Emma’s latest Instagram post, she got real with her followers. Alongside a video montage of the last summer, Emma opened up about how grief has affected her.

“This was the summer of self-discovery — finding new hobbies, going out of my comfort zone, and staying active,” Emma admitted as the video showed her working out, playing tennis, biking, gardening, doing housework, and painting.

“My grief can be paralyzing but I’m learning how to live alongside it. As my step-daughter @scoutlaruewillis told me, grief is the deepest and purest form of love. I hope you find some comfort in that too.”

Scout, who Bruce shares with his ex-wife Demi Moore, also commented on the video, writing, “This is so beautiful! I’m so proud of you, I love you so much!!!”

And other people also shared their words of wisdom about grief. “Grief will make you move mountains when you can barely jump hurdles,” another person wrote.

“It is the balance of what is, and what’s to come.. You push through it. You have to. Your beautiful babies are learning from your strength. And what beautiful strength you have, dear. You keep pushing and we’ll keep praying.”

Emma also recently shared a video of Bruce and their friend making music together. Despite his health issues, Bruce can still play the heck out of a harmonica.

Emma shared her message on National Grief Day.
