Finding the time and motivation to work out regularly can be a challenge. Doing it after having a baby is downright daunting. Yes, even when you’re a celebrity. Mom Brooklyn Decker shared her struggles with working out and getting back into pre-baby shape on Instagram.
“This ‘getting back into shape’ thing is going really well,” Decker wrote on her feed. “On this run I almost sh*t me-self. Any other gals (moms?) dealing with this?”

People were not shy about sharing their own post-baby workout woes with the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.
One mom shared, “I had baby #3 six months ago. Running is my exercise of choice and requires a tampon, backup poise pad, and not drinking a few hours before- otherwise I’ll pee all over myself. I don’t know if all that will work for pooping- but I wish you all the best! I really do find that running improves all areas of my life though – endorphins are fantastic.”
Another mom faced the same struggles, “I successfully ran 2 miles without peeing yesterday. I’ve never been so proud of myself.”
Other moms applauded her for getting back to the workout grind, “I’m 4 months PP w my second and yesterday, the scale showed my pre pregnancy weight. And WHOA my body still looks so different. Good for you, it’s inspiring me to start moving again (though hopefully no pooping mid-workout).”
Another shared, “I tried to work out recently. Got a quarter through it and couldn’t decide if I was going to pass out or vomit, so I laid down and took a nap.”
Brooklyn and her husband, tennis superstar Andy Roddick, have two children, Hank (3) and Stevie (1).
