Britney Spears is feeling relieved amid most of her team resigning from their respective roles.
After Larry Rudolph stepped down this week as her manager, as well as her lawyer Samuel D. Ingham III, a source connected to Spears shared how Britney finally feels hopeful for the future. Â
“She’s finally feeling hopeful about the future,” the insider revealed. “She thinks people are resigning because they know she is speaking the truth. She is relieved her attorney resigned and hopes that if she can pick her own lawyer, it means the judge is leaning towards terminating the conservatorship.”
The source continues, “She’s trying to be patient and see what happens. She is happy that things are starting to happen, and that the truth has finally come out.”
Samuel, who has served as the star’s attorney since her conservatorship began in 2008, resigned as court-appointed counsel for the 39-year-old.
This follows news of Britney’s longtime manager, Larry, announcing his resignation on Monday, July 5 after 25 years of working with her.
The choice allegedly came from Britney’s reported decision to “officially retire” from performing.
The only person who will not stop working with Spears is Jodi Montgomery. The professionally licensed conservator filed a document on July 6 stating she will continue to handle Britney’s medical records and personal affairs.
In the interim money-management firm Bessemer Trust requested to step down last week as co-conservator of Britney’s finances, which will leave her father, Jamie Spears, as the sole decision-maker in that role.Â
On Wednesday, June 23, Britney gave a very raw and emotional public testimony at the court hearing about her conservatorship situation.
During her statement, she pleaded with the court to end the conservatorship.
“I never had a say in my schedule, they always told me how to do this, and ma’am, I will tell you, sitting in a chair 10 hours a day seven days a week, it ain’t fun. Especially when you can’t walk out the front door, and that’s why I’m telling you this again two years later, after I’ve lied and told the whole world, I’m okay. And I’m happy. It’s a lie,” the singer said in part.
“I thought I just maybe I said that enough maybe I might become happy because I’ve been in denial. I’ve been in shock. I am traumatized, you know, fake it till you make it, but now I’m telling you the truth, okay, I’m not happy. I can’t sleep. I’m so angry. It’s insane. And I’m depressed.”
