Popstar Britney Spears was supposed to have a hearing in which her conservatorship was to be discussed. However, that hearing never took place due to her fans’ “Free Britney” campaign.

According to TMZ, it is routine for those involved in Spears’ conservatorship to meet with a judge every three months or so, so that developments surrounding the conservatorship can be monitored and documented. And due to COVID-19, this particular hearing needed to take place over a Zoom call.

However, some of Spears’ fans learned of the time and date the hearing was scheduled to take place, tracked down the Zoom link, and crashed the hearing. The judge presiding over the hearing demanded that the fans leave the Zoom chat, but they refused.

As a result, the judge ended the hearing after tending to non-confidential matters and called for it to be rescheduled. It’s believed the fans were there to call for an end to Spears’ conservatorship, but “no one has EVER filed a motion nor has there ever been a court proceeding to end the permanent conservatorship in the 12 years it’s been in effect.”

As TMZ reported, as for now, Jody Montgomery, the person who was appointed as Spears’ temporary conservator when her father, Jamie fell ill, will continue as such. And Jamie will continue to be the conservator of his daughter’s estate and business affairs.

Despite the “Free Britney” campaign, Spears has remained hush on the matter and has continued posting to social media as she normally does. Last week, however, she posted a series of photos over a span of several days in the same outfit and people became concerned.

“Can Britney please do a LIVE so we all know she is okay?” many of the commenters asked. However, she had yet to oblige her fans, who as of July 30, are still calling for a Livestream as they continue to assume the worst.
