Britney Spears is happy to be together again with her dogs.
Earlier in the week, the singer’s housekeeper took Spears’ dogs to the veterinarian after they were worried about the animals’ wellbeing.
The employee had reportedly filed a complaint with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department for an alleged misdemeanor battery incident.
Now, a source confirmed with PEOPLE that Spears “reunited with her dogs before the weekend” and was “thrilled” to do so.
“Her dogs are a sensitive breed that often has health issues. She has gotten clear instructions about how to care for the dogs now,” the source continues, adding that the “housekeeper no longer works for her.”
Another insider commented: “The dogs are back and they have more help now.”

This past week, Capt. Eric Buschow confirmed that Britney is the suspect in a battery investigation after an employee reported that Spears “struck them during a dispute” inside her home.
“Ultimately that investigation will be forwarded to the attorney’s office for review. It’s a minor misdemeanor battery [investigation],” Capt. Buschow informed PEOPLE, adding that there were no injuries reported.
Buschow declined to “discuss the particulars” of the incident but shared how misdemeanor battery occurs when there is “physical contact” with another person.
But a source close to Spears commented that the entire incident is false, saying that she “didn’t hit anyone.”
“The housekeeper was holding her phone and Britney tried to knock it out of her hands,” said the insider.
Spears’ lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, has yet to comment.

Britney, 39, shared a post few weeks back saying that fans “only know half” of what’s happening with her conservatorship on Monday, after sharing a post last week saying, “I’m sure a lot of you guys are wondering how I’m doing, and since the cat is out of the bag — literally out of the bag — and you guys know my situation … things are way better than I ever imagined.”
Spears then followed up Monday’s post by sharing a video of someone making avocado toast as she shared that she’s happy to “have a platform to share” but will start to post less.
“As Selena Gomez says it best – The world can be a nasty place … I know it … you know it … kill them with kindness ☀️☀️☀️ !!!” Britney wrote. “Unfortunately the news has been pretty nasty saying horrible and mean lies about me so I’m gonna post a little less from now on.”
