Britney Spears and her team are speaking out after reports revealed she allegedly hit one of her employees. According to Fox News, Spears has been accused and is now being investigated for alleged battery.
Reports suggest that she allegedly struck one of her housekeepers. The housekeeper claims that Spears struck her and knocked her phone to the ground during an altercation.
According to The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the alleged incident occurred on Monday, August 16. Officers were called to the Spears residence after the employee told police Britney “became violent during a disagreement around 10 a.m. local time.”

However, while the housekeeper did file a complaint, they were not injured, according to reports. While the authorities did not reveal what lead to the dispute, TMZ reported that it was the result of one of her employees “taking one of her dogs to the vet out of concern for the pup’s treatment and well-being.”
TMZ continued to say that the reported altercation occurred after Britney Spears confronted the worker who took the dog to the vet. One of Spears’ attorneys has denied the claim against her.
The written statement given to Fox News reads, “This is nothing more than sensational tabloid fodder – an alleged misdemeanor involving a ‘he said she said’ regarding a cell phone, with no striking and obviously no injury whatsoever. Anyone can make an accusation. This should have been closed immediately.”
This accusation and investigation comes just one week after Jamie Spears, Britney’s father, agreed to step down as her conservator. It’s unclear what Jamie will make of this new update.
“There are, in fact, no actual grounds for suspending or removing Mr. Spears as the Conservator of the Estate … and it is highly debatable whether a change in conservator at this time would be in Ms. Spears’ best interests,” a court document read last Thursday. “Nevertheless, even as Mr. Spears is the unremitting target of unjustified attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter over his continuing service as her conservator would be in her best interests.”

“So, even though he must contest this unjustified Petition for his removal, Mr. Spears intends to work with the Court and his daughter’s new attorney to prepare for an orderly transition to a new conservator,” the documents continued. “Regardless of his formal title, Mr. Spears will always be Ms. Spears’ father, he will always love her unconditionally, and he will always look out for her best interests.”
The investigation into the battery complaint is still ongoing. Britney Spears has not been charged with any misdemeanor as of August 19.
