As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Duane ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Chapman has inserted himself into the search for Brian Laundrie. He told Fox News that he made the decision to get involved in the Gabby Petito case after receiving a slew of messages from fans asking him to get involved.
However, now it is being reported that Brian Laundrie’s mother would like the reality star and bounty hunter to stop knocking on her door. In videos shared on social media, Dog can be seen knocking on Brian Laundrie’s front door looking to speak with those on the inside.
As the videos show, the door has a “no solicitation” sign on it. Dog is seen ignoring to request.

No one ever answers the door, but it has since been revealed that Laundrie’s mother called 911 in response to Dog’s presence. On Saturday, Roberta Laundrie reported the bounty hunter, as a radio recording captured a dispatcher telling officers that “the female, Roberta… called in on 911, referenced a situation with the male.”
According to Fox 13, an officer also recorded on the call told the responding officers to “keep the peace” and make sure “everything is good.” You can listen to the recording below:
Now, Dog has responded to Roberta’s 911 call, saying that “it’s a shame they wouldn’t speak with us. The police said we were welcome to knock on the door so we did. I wanted to tell the Laundries that our goal is to find Brian and bring him in alive.”
A spokesman confirmed the 911 call and said that their officers responded like they would any 911 call. “We’ve been called to the house numerous times for all sorts of issues: media, protesters, celebrity searchers. It’s not something normal. If the family calls and is concerned, we will respond like we would for anyone.”
But why has Dog inserted himself in the Gabby Petito, Brian Laundrie situation?
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Duane Chapman holds a personal attachment to the Gabby Petito case. During an interview with Fox News, he feels so close to the case, in fact, that he’s been to Brian Laundrie’s parents’ house. The house where Brian and Gabby lived prior to the cross-country vacation that turned fatal.
As Dog told Fox News, he lost one of his own daughters around the age of 22, which was how old Gabby Petito was at the time of her passing. And while no one answered his knocks on the door, Dog has joined the search for Brian Laundrie.
“We had a lot of requests that I get in on this,” he said. “This is what I do for a living, for 45 years.”
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, at some point between September 1 and September 14, Brian fled his Florida home and hasn’t been seen since. On September 19, Gabby Petito’s body was discovered near the Spread Creek campsite in Wyoming one of the last places their white Ford van was seen.
“The reason I went to Mr. [Christopher] Laundrie is I carry a reputation with me,” Dog told Fox News. “The reputation is, ‘He gives you a second chance. He’s gonna get you, but he gives you a second chance.’”
Watch the latest video at foxnews.comAs Fox News reports, Chapman’s daughter passed away as a result of a car accident in 2006. When Dog caught wind of the Petito case and the search for Brian Laundrie, he was already in Florida celebrating his honeymoon with his new bride Francie.
Fox shared a video clip of the moment he knocked on the Laundrie’s door.
“I know what the victims feel like,” Chapman added. “And the dad can still reach out to me, through social media. Let’s get the kid captured alive. Alive.”
According to Fox News, Chapman, who has his own anonymous tip line (833-TELL-DOG), said he’s getting calls every two or three minutes. He revealed that much of the information he received has pointed him toward the Appalachian Trail – where Laundrie camped out before.
“Somebody else knows where he’s at, where they dropped him off at, or did they drop him off,” Chapman concluded. “That person is gonna tell us, because again, we’re not the police. This is anonymous.”
