In the latest update, new reports are revealing a cause of death for Brian Laundrie. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Brian Laundrie’s remains were discovered in a Florida park he frequented after returning home without his fiancé, Gabby Petito.
Laundrie was the only person of interest in the murder of Gabby Petito who went missing in August while on a cross-country excursion with Laundrie. The couple had known each other since high school but had only recently gotten engaged.
Gabby Petito’s body was discovered in the Grand Tetons in October. Her manner of death was labeled a homicide and her cause of death was declared manual strangulation.
BREAKING: Brian Laundrie’s Cause of Death Revealed
Now, new reports are revealing that Brian Laundrie’s cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the head, which further implies the assumption that Laundrie took his own life. The Daily Mail was one of the first publications to report the findings of his autopsy.
In a statement issued by the Laundrie’s family lawyer, Steve Bertolino said, “Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was suicide. Chris and Roberta are still mourning the loss of their son and are hopeful that these findings bring closure to both families.”
Chris and Roberta have opted not to have a memorial service for their son. They also have refrained from making any personal statements at the behest of Bertolino.
It has not been revealed where Laundrie would have obtained the gun. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Laundrie was discovered on October 21 in an area of the park that had previously been underwater due to the recent rainfall in that area.
He was also discovered with a dry bag and a notebook. Although it was not publicly reported, it’s unclear if a gun was also retrieved when his other personal effects were found.
Prior to their deaths, Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie modified a white Ford Van that they lived in during their travels across the country. Petito had dreams of becoming an influencer while a member of the “Van Life” community. Much of their travels were documented on their respective Instagram pages.
Still to this day, Laundrie has not been named a suspect in the death of his fiancé. No further information has been revealed regarding the investigation into Petito’s death.
