In what Brantley Gilbert is calling “the craziest night of my life,” the country music star is a dad once again.
According to the singer, while on stage in Mississippi, his wife, Amber Cochran Gilbert, was sitting in their tour bus when she went into labor with their third child.
In a video shared to Instagram, Gilbert highlighted how it all went down. He was in the middle of his show when he was called off stage due to an “emergency.”
He learned that Amber had gone into labor. As video shows him running out to his tour bus, it flashes to Gilbert calling his mom on the phone telling her she has a new “grandbaby.”
Amber and Gilbert shared black and white photos and videos of their new born baby boy.
“She’s amazing,” Gilbert told his mom of his wife. “I know she is, she’s amazing, she’s absolutely amazing,” Gilbert’s mom agreed.
Hilariously, Gilbert ends the call with his mom, saying, “Well, I’m going to go finish this show and I’ll FaceTime you after.”
Video shows Gilbert returning to the stage, telling his audience, “We got a baby!”
In the caption, Gilbert wrote, “So last night might have been the craziest night of my life. Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget.”
“Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little dude into the world, Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us mad love and support, and most of all… Amber Gilbert, for letting me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be. I love you.”
This is Gilbert and Amber’s second son. They are also parents to five-year-old Bray and six-year-old Barrett.
