A first-time mom wants to know what the best natural baby and parenting products and brands are. From Honest Company to Babyganics, here are some great suggestions.
A member of the Mamas Uncut community asks:
Hello! FTM here, due in August. Really excited (and scared and overwhelmed lol)! My partner and I are big into the “natural” lifestyle, and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for good, natural/organic baby products? Taking suggestions on anything: balms, creams, diapers, clothing, toys, etc. Really curious to know what’s worked for others!Â

Trusted Natural Brands
Natural and organic brands have become wildly popular, which is why there are several successful companies that exclusively make natural/organic products for families. Here are a few of the community’s favorites.
The Honest Company
Founded by actress Jessica Alba in 2011, The Honest Company has become one of the biggest, most beloved natural lines in the parenting world. Their Honestly Free Guarantee stipulates that the company does not use “health-compromising chemicals or compounds” in any of its products. The Honest Company sells diapers, wipes, sunscreen, creams, diaper bags, clothing, gift sets, and pretty much anything else you can think of. They also now have beauty and home product lines.
Hello Bello
Then there’s Hello Bello! Just launched in 2019 by actors-slash-universally-adored-personalities Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, Hello Bello is the new kid on the natural products block. They currently sell diapers, creams, personal care items (like lotions and bug sprays), laundry detergent, and more. Order online or find Hello Bello products at Walmart.

Babyganics
Launched in 2004 and acquired by SC Johnson in 2016, Babyganics has long been a go-to for parents in search of safe and natural products. They sell a large variety of diapers, wipes, sunscreens, creams, balms, lotions, cleaning products, and more. Babyganics is perhaps the most widely-available natural baby brand, so it’s easy to find their products at Target, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Safeway, Buy Buy Baby, online at Amazon, or at most other major chains.
Baby Bum
Baby Bum (which falls under the Sun Bum umbrella) is a line of plant-based skin care created especially for kids. They carry sunscreens, lotions, balms, shampoos, and basically anything that goes on baby’s skin or hair. They also have cute plush toys and gift sets. According to their website, they “don’t use anything that could hurt the planet or our kids” in any of their products.
