On Oct. 1, Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter Princess Beatrice is expecting another child.
Currently, Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are parents to 3-year-old Sienna. Beatrice is also a stepmom to Mozzi’s 8-year-old son, Wolfie.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, the Royal Family shared the news of Beatrice’s pregnancy.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together early in the new year; a sibling for Wolfie and Sienna.”
The announcement continued, “His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
And fans were delighted to see the princess’s stepson involved in the announcement.
“So lovely that Beatrice’s stepson is being fully included in the statement,” one comment read.
Some comments questioned why the announcement said “second child together” instead of simply stating this will be their third child.
“If it’s a sibling for Wolfie and Sienna would it not be their third child? Report states welcoming their second child,” a fan shared.
“How is this their second child when they have two already,” another person questioned.
It’s been a difficult year for the royal family as multiple members of their family were diagnosed with cancer. One of those family members included Beatrice’s mom, Fergie, the Duchess of York.
Fergie took to her personal Instagram account to congratulate her daughter shared pictures of herself with her daughter and her grandchildren.
“Such an incredible blessing and an embrace to my heart,” Fergie wrote. “Wolfie, August, Ernie and Sienna will be over the moon to have the fifth member of the five aside,” she continued, including her other daughter Eugene’s two children.
“Becoming a granny again fills my heart with so much happiness and gratitude,” she added. “Our family is growing, and so too is the love that surrounds us.”
