April 2020 remains an iconic month when it comes to celebrity pregnancy announcements.
A major slew of celebrities have revealed this month that they are expecting, and that trend looks to continue well into May and beyond with the news that Ashlee Simpson and her husband, Evan Ross, are expecting their second child. (Simpson has a son from her previous marriage to Pete Wentz.)
Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross Announce They Are Pregnant
Simpson, 35, shared the joyous news on Instagram with a picture of her holding a positive Clearblue pregnancy test. In the caption, she wrote, “We are pregnant and we are so excited to share it with everyone. Baby #3.”
Simpson and Ross have a four-year-old daughter, Jagger Snow Ross. Simpson shares her oldest child, 11-year-old Bronx Wentz, with ex-husband Pete Wentz.
“During this unprecedented time, we know pregnant women may be under greater stress which is why we are supporting @marchofdimes Mom and Baby #COVID19 Intervention and Support Fund,” Simpson added in her caption. “Check out their Instagram page to see how they are helping moms and babies get the care they need now and in the future.”
Ross shared the same photo to his Instagram account with a similar message, but added, “The fam is growing. ♥️ Ash and I can’t wait to welcome the newest addition.”
That is all we know for now. There is no info yet on a due date, baby’s sex, or anything else, though we expect more information to trickle out soon.
Still, we’re thrilled for Simpson and Ross, who seem like great parents to their 4-year-old. Simpson also has a very good co-parenting relationship with Wentz.
And this news isn’t exactly surprising. In October of 2018, Simpson and Ross spoke with Us Weekly about wanting more kids. “We definitely want another one,” Simpson said at the time, while Ross added, “We’ll figure out when it’s the right time.”
Seems like now is the right time!
This Simpson-Ross pregnancy news follows similar April announcements from Lea Michele and her husband, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger, Aaron Carter and his girlfriend, Hilaria and Alec Baldwin, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth, among others. In short, pretty much all of Hollywood is pregnant at the moment. Now we just wait for the birth announcements to start rolling in.
