Armie Hammer Speaks Out for the First Time, 2 Years Since Vile Accusations Were Made Against Him

For the first time since Armie Hammer was accused of truly vile behavior, the actor himself is speaking out. Since the accusations were made public, Hammer has moved himself out of the spotlight. That is until now.

While talking with Air Mail, Hammer began talking by first revealing how he was introduced to sexuality. The now 36-year-old claims he himself was molested by a youth pastor.

According to Hammer he was just 13 years old when the assault took place and suggests that was his introduction into BDSM. “What that did for me was it introduced sexuality into my life in a way that it was completely out of my control. I was powerless in the situation. I had no agency in the situation,” Hammer told Air Mail.

“Sexuality was introduced to me in a scary way where I had no control. My interests then went to: I want to have control in the situation, sexually.”

As Hammer continued, he told Air Mail that he did notify adults of the alleged sexual abuse. He claims he told an older friend who has since passed away and his godmother Candace Garvey who confirmed Hammer’s story to Air Mail.

He went on to add that he attempted to take his own life when the allegations against him came out. According to Hammer, he was at the beach with his kids when he walked into the ocean and prayed it would all end.

“I just walked out into the ocean and swam out as far as I could and hoped that either I drowned, or was hit by a boat, or eaten by a shark. Then I realized that my kids were still on shore, and that I couldn’t do that to my kids.”

Since the accusations were made, a documentary about Hammer’s obsession with BDSM, his upbringing, and his family has since been produced.

The Air Mail article also addressed one of Hammer’s most well-known alleged victims, Effie. Effie claimed that she was raped by Hammer during their nearly 4-year relationship which took place while Hammer was married to his then-wife Elizabeth Chambers, who is the mother of his children.

Air Mail cites multiple different social media conversations to dispute the assault allegations brought against Hammer, though seemingly confirms the relationship between Hammer and Effie. In a message sent to Chambers from Effie, Effie allegedly told Chamber that “I was pretty much chasing him.”

However, Air Mail also obtained social media conversations between Effie and one of her followers which alleged said that the sex between she and Hammer was “consensual” and called him “such an amazing Daddy.” In the conversation Effie further allegedly claimed that Hammer “was not dangerous. He didn’t rape anyone.”

Effie again reportedly confirmed that Hammer didn’t rape her when talking with a different follower the next day. As Air Mail reported, the follower reported asked if she had legal representation, to which she responded saying, “I’m not saying he raped me, no need for legal rep.”

Hammer, in his interview, would confirm the extra-marital affair before maintaining that the rape Effie referred to was a “scene” they had planned together in advance.

“She planned all of the details out, all the way down to what Starbucks I would see her at, how I would follow her home, how her front door would be open and unlocked and I would come in, and we would engage in what is called a ‘consensual non-consent scene,’ CNC. Every single thing was discussed beforehand. I have never thrust this on someone unexpectedly. Never.”

Further, Hammer admitted to “one million percent”emotionally abusing two of the other victims who have since came forward, Paige Lorenze and Courtney Vucekovich. “I would have these younger women in their mid-20s, and I’m in my 30s. I was a successful actor at the time. They could have been happy to just be with me and would have said yes to things that maybe they wouldn’t have said yes to on their own. That’s an imbalance of power in the situation,” Hammer said.

Hammer said that he know wants to own up to his mistakes, adding that he has been in treatment for drug and alcohol abuse. It’s unclear if he has sought treatment for his BDSM obsession.

“I had a very intense and extreme lifestyle, and I would scoop up these women, bring them into it —into this whirlwind of travel and sex and drugs and big emotions flying around — and then as soon as I was done, I’d just drop them off and move on to the next woman, leaving that woman feeling abandoned or used.”

In the end, Hammer adds that he wouldn’t change how things unfolded because he’s “truly grateful for my life and my recovery and everything.” Nonetheless, Hammer doesn’t believe he will be making a comeback anytime soon.

As of February 5, none of Hammer’s accusers have issued statements regarding his new interview. Mamas Uncut will update the article as those statements become available.

The below article was previously written on September 24, 2022:

One of Armie Hammer‘s accusers, the woman known only as Effie, is slamming Elizabeth Chambers.

Chambers said in a recent interview how she and Hammer “are in a really great place,” adding in part that they speak often and that their divorce isn’t finalized.

Armie Hammer Accuser Denounces Elizabeth Chambers Over Claiming Hammer Is ‘Healing’

She stated that Hammer “has been focused on his healing,” adding that she’s “here to support that process.”

This past Wednesday, Effie posted a series of messages on her Instagram Story allegedly between her and Chambers in which Chambers allegedly encourages Effie to go public with claims against her ex. Effie’s rape allegations against Hammer led to an LAPD investigation into the actor.

“I’m obtaining a copy of the NDA he used and think there’s an error in it, which would make it null and void. As soon as I confirm, can you post?” one message allegedly from Chambers read.

In another message, Chambers seemingly tells Effie to “stay focused” on “getting the stories on record. Not just the internet.”

After Chambers allegedly asked Effie if she’s hired a lawyer, Effie replies, “I’m feeling a tad bit suicidal and don’t have time for this rn sorry.”

Chambers seemed to tell Effie, “I really need custody of my precious children” and asked her to file a declaration, vowing that it will be kept private.

“I don’t want to pressure you, but your insight is much more in-depth than the others we have,” another message, said to be from Chambers, said. She later allegedly added that a declaration from Effie could get Hammer put in jail.

Effie concluded her Instagram Stories by writing, “Just some things to keep in mind before anyone else keeps wishing rapists ‘healing’.”

In a statement made on Thursday, a rep for Chambers says, “Given the extent and nature of allegations that were made, Elizabeth sought to determine the veracity of those allegations. She was very sensitive to all parties involved. The safety and well-being of their children remain her priority.”

Chambers, 40, filed for divorce from Hammer in July 2020, citing irreconcilable differences. And just months later, the actor became the center of controversy after messages allegedly from the actor detailing violent sexual fantasies were leaked online. He was later accused of rape, which he denied.

Effie, whose account first anonymously shared allegations against Hammer, accused him of sexual assault in a four-hour incident that she said occurred in 2017. The then 24-year-old appeared in a press conference alongside her attorney Gloria Allred.

Effie, who chose to keep her legal name private during the conference, also accused Hammer of “mentally, emotionally and sexually” abusing her during their on-and-off four-year relationship. Hammer was married to Chambers at the time of the alleged affair.

Hammer’s lawyer denied the rape allegation and maintained that his relationship with Effie was “completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participatory,” in a previous statement provided to PEOPLE.
