Antwain Lee Fowler, 6, Best Known For His Viral Videos Has Passed Away

If you have been scrolling through social media over the last two years, you may have seen Antwain Lee Fowler on your screen before. Fowler when viral for his short but hilarious video asking his mom “where we about to eat at?”

The video may only be five seconds long but it has taken the world by storm with over 24 million views on YouTube. However, Antwain’s YouTube channel was used for much more than funny eating videos, it incapsulated a life that has been cut short.

For the six years, Antwain Lee Fowler was on this year, the little man battled Auto-immune Enteropathy. According to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, autoimmune enteropathy “is a rare condition that causes children to have a lot of diarrhea, often to the point of needing intravenous (IV) fluids. It can also affect a child’s ability to absorb food and vitamins.”

Essentially, Fowler’s immune system was attacking itself. Sadly, the 6-year-old passed away, November 21 reports have revealed.

Over the last several weeks, photos from his official Instagram page have revealed that Fowler has been in the hospital. It’s unclear if a specific incident caused his most recent hospital stay and subsequently his death.

In the only statement released on Fowler’s Instagram page, it reads, “The pain in my heart is like no other. Why God?” The statement continues, “Never in a million years. My heart is out of my chest.”

Fowler’s mom also issued a statement on her personal Instagram page. “Ever felt lifeless like you can’t go on? I don’t wanna be here anymore. This pain is unbearable. That’s my baby. My God, why me?”

A GoFundMe was set up for Antwain Lee Fowler and his medical expenses several months ago. As the GoFundMe page reports, the young boy was first diagnosed in 2015 and has undergone 25 surgeries since. You can still donate if you wish to.

“Unlike normal infants, Antwain was unable to drink milk, or eat solid foods during his earlier childhood. The first four years of Antwain’s life were an everlasting fight and a very crucial experience for his family. Through unlimited prayers, faith, and doctors working around the clock Antwain is progressively healing; and truly grateful for all that he’s accomplished thus far.”

No further information has been revealed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Antwain Lee Fowler’s family during this extremely difficult time.
