Annie Wersching, who is best known for her roles in 24, Bosch, Timeless, and Star Trek: Picard, passed away on January 29th after a 30-month battle with cancer. She was just 45 years old, leaving behind a loving husband, Stephen Full, and three sons – Freddie, Ozzie, and Archie – between the ages of 12 and 4.
Wersching has spent the majority of her career on television, first appearing as Liana in an episode of Star Trek: Enterprise in 2002. She had a slew of guest roles and even a recurring role on General Hospital before playing FBI Special Agent Renee Walker in 24 for a total of two seasons – Seasons 7 and 8.
She most recently appeared in three seasons of The Rookie and Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard. Some of her other notable achievements included appearing in the 2009 Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game and voicing a character (Tess) in the 2013 PlayStation classic video game The Last of Us.
Friends, family members, colleagues, and fans took to social media in the hours following the news of her death to commemorate a life well-lived. Her husband talked about the ‘cavernous hole in the soul of this family today’ in a statement initially published by Deadline, adding she ‘left us the tools to fill it.’
“She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall,” he said. “As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing.
Among the many others to take to social media was Abigail Spencer, a former co-star of hers on the set of Timeless. “My darling @anniewersching, The best scene partner. My arch #Timeless nemesis where we could barely keep a straight face. This is a devastating loss to our community,” she wrote on Insta.
She described Annie Wersching as the ‘backbone of many of your favorite shows’ and commemorated her for her ability to ‘elevate a storyline’ in whatever show she appeared in. “Her family needs all the love and support we can generate. Her spirit is all around and transcends time & space,” she added.
A GoFundMe Has Been Created for Annie Wersching and Her Family
Many colleagues are also taking to social media to share a GoFundMe page created in her honor to support her family – it was created by Ever Carradine, a close friend of Annie Wersching. She explained in the description that the page was created with Annie’s blessing, also approving the text and photos.
“Annie lived for her family. She loved her work and cherished her friends, but Steve and the boys were her absolute everything. This Go Fund Me is for them. It’s so Steve can have time to grieve without the pressure of needing to work. So he can be daddy to Freddie (12), Ozzie (9), and Archie (4),” said Ever.
She went on to explain how private of a person Wersching was, adding her cancer diagnosis in 2020 made her even more private. Everything she did, she did it for her family – her husband and her three boys. “Everyone loved Annie. Everyone. But however much we loved her, she loved her boys more.”

It’s to help pay for college. It’s so Steve can continue Annie’s tradition of filling the house with every life-sized balloon that’ll fit in the car for birthday mornings. It’s to give them time to navigate life as a family of four without the burden of paying medical bills or funeral expenses,” the GoFundMe page continued.
