The latest update shared by a representative for actress Anne Heche is grim. As Mamas Uncut previously reported Anne Heche, best known for her roles in Six Day Seven Nights, Chicago PD, Ally McBeal, and so much more, was involved in a fiery car crash on August 5.
According to TMZ, Heche was reportedly driving a blue Mini Cooper when she crashed the vehicle into the garage of an apartment complex in Los Angeles. Witnesses who saw the accident occurred attempted to help Heche, but she allegedly fled the scene in her vehicle.

Heche then reportedly crashed again, this time into a nearby home. It was then that a fire ignited, engulfing the house and the car in flames. While no one else was hurt in the accident, Heche was pulled from her vehicle by a team of firefighters with severe burns.
After being rescued from her vehicle, Heche was initially labeled in critical condition after suffering severe burns. Shortly after news of the crash broke, an updated report which included a statement from her family revealed that the actress was expected to make a full recovery.
According to the source, “Anne is in the ICU, she’s lucky to be alive,” they told CNN. “She has severe burns and has a long recovery ahead. Her team and her family are still trying to process what led up to the crash.”

Now, a representative for the actress is revealing that Anne has slipped into a coma and has been put on a ventilator. The statement issued to People says Heche remains in critical condition.
“She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention. She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident.”
As Mamas Uncut reported on August 8, her former co-star and friend, Alec Baldwin has shared a video offering well wishes to the actress as her recovery begins.
“Hey, I just want to send out my best wishes and all my love to Anne Heche,” Baldwin said in the Instagram video. “There’s not a lot of women I’ve worked with that are brave in the way that Anne is brave.”
“She is an amazingly talented woman. I love you Anne, I love you and I think you are such a talented person. I hope everything is OK. I hope you come through this. My heart goes out to you. “We really had a multifaceted incident here,” Los Angeles Fire Department Captain Erik Scott explained. “We had a significant traffic collision, we had entrapment of a woman inside that, we had a car that erupted into fire, and then we had a home that had significant fire that is red tagged. It’s at this point destroyed.”
