For 13 years, Josh and Anna Duggar have been married. She reportedly knew about how he inappropriately touched four of his sisters and a family friend prior to marrying him and stood by him when those reports were made public.
Anna also stood by Josh when it was revealed he had cheated on her and had a pornography addiction after his Ashley Madison account was revealed during the site-wide hack that occurred in 2015. Now, after being charged with multiple counts of child pornography, reports suggest, Anna Duggar is standing by her husband once again.
Currently, Josh and Anna are expecting their seventh child. They announced they are expecting their fourth daughter just days before Josh was arrested and charged with receiving and possession of child pornography on April 30.
Anna Duggar Believes Husband Josh Is Innocent As He Remains on House Arrest
In fact, according to People, who spoke with the source, Anna isn’t just standing by Josh during the time, she believes he’s innocent. “She’s standing by him,” a source tells PEOPLE exclusively. “She thinks Josh is innocent.”
The source also revealed that Anna and their children have already been around to visit Josh. “[Josh] has seen [his] children with Anna there. She has to be there,” the source told People.
Josh is currently on house arrest as he awaits his trial that is set to begin at the beginning of July. He is living with friends of the Duggar family as he is not allowed around children. However, he is allowed to see his own children so long as Anna Duggar is present at all times.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Gerald Faulkner testified for the prosecution during the detention hearing, which took place in May.
Agent Faulkner told the court that files allegedly found on Josh’s computer revealed the sex abuse of a child ranging from 18 months to 12 years of age. The agent went on to say that the images were “in the top five of the worst of the worst that I’ve ever had to examine.”
The files were reportedly discovered on Josh’s work computer which was located at his Wholesale Motorcars dealership. Reports stated that the computer had software on it that alerted Anna if he was visiting any distasteful websites. This software is called Covenant Eyes and is often used for those struggling to overcome pornography addiction.
However, Agent Faulkner went on to reveal that Duggar had allegedly been using a password-protect network that was not registered through the “Covenant Eyes” software, meaning Anna would have never been alerted to Josh’s alleged illegal online activity. During the 2019 raid of his business, Agent Faulkner also revealed that when asked if he had seen or was in possession of child sex abuse materials, Josh responded by saying, “I’d rather not answer that question.”
If convicted of the charges against him, Duggar faces up to 20 years of imprisonment and fines up to $250,000 on each count.
