According to a member of Braugher’s team, the actor died following a brief battle with lung cancer.
More tragedy has struck Hollywood. Legendary actor André Braugher, best known for his role as the police captain in ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ and ‘Homicide: Life On The Street’ has passed away.
According to Deadline, Braugher died at the age of 61 following a battle with an undisclosed illness. He leaves behind his wife of 32 years and three children.
During his decades-long career, Braugher is a two-time Emmy Award winner and has a slew of other nominations under his belt. Prior to that, Braugher is a Stanford and Juilliard graduate.
