Since giving birth to baby boy Gene in May this year, Amy Schumer has quickly become one of our favorite moms. She consistently uses her platform to bring warmth and humor to the hardships and weirdness of motherhood. And she continues to move up our list this week after posting a hilarious response to Jessica Simpson‘s recent 100-lb. weight loss.
Last week, Simpson revealed that she lost 100 pounds since giving birth to her daughter, Birdie Mae, in March. Schumer, in her own words, has not quite reached that milestone just yet.

“OK Simpson,” Schumer’s caption begins, referring to Jessica Simpson. “Well, I’ve lost 10 pounds and 100 dollars to my sister playing poker.”
Hey, 10 pounds is nothing to scoff at!
Last week, Simpson revealed in an Instagram post that she’d lost 100 lbs. within the last six months, since giving birth to her youngest daughter, Birdie Mae. She revealed in the post that, at her peak, she “tipped the scales at 240.”
Discussions about Simpson’s weight have long been a fixture in the tabloids. She has struggled with her weight throughout her three pregnancies. We think she looks great no matter what, although we are happy that she seems happier now.
Like Simpson, Schumer is fairly open with her fans and followers about her struggles, which makes her response apt.

Schumer has been very open about her motherhood journey so far. She has spoken out about dealing with hyperemesis gravidarum, posted about her love of mesh hospital underwear, and shared very candid photos from the hospital after giving birth.
While it’s great Simpson worked hard to get her body back into shape, we think many moms will also relate to Schumer. Losing 100 pounds isn’t easy any way you cut it, and not everyone needs to aim for that exact goal. Be proud of losing the 10, Amy!
Simpson later left a comment under Schumer’s post, saying “You’re hot. Size only matters when it comes to men.”
Legendary!
