After revealing that she and her husband decided to change their son’s middle name 10 months after he was born, comedian Amy Schumer is also sharing that she and Andy Cohen have virtual playdates with their sons.
Schumer’s son, Gene David, formerly known as Gene Attell, is roughly three months younger than Cohen’s son, Benjamin, who was born in February 2019. Gene will be celebrating his first birthday in May.

While a virtual guest on Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, the friends talked about the playdates their sons used to have before they have been forced to self-quarantine. “Amy, I count your son Gene as one of Ben’s only friends his own age,” Cohen said to Schumer during their Live chat. “And sadly our playdates have been halted since the quarantine.”
In response, Schumer told Cohen that Gene misses Ben very much. And although both parents try to remain cautious when it comes to sharing their sons with the public, Cohen and Schumer gave their fans a little surprise by allowing Ben and Gene to have a virtual playdate in the middle of their conversation.

The proud parents also revealed that Ben is “a side-eye baby” and that Amy makes Ben laugh more than Andy does. Amy also joked that Gene’s nanny tends to play a bigger role in changing his diaper.
Ben and Gene’s playdate comes just weeks after he was finally allowed to be around his dad again. In March, Cohen tested positive for COVID-19 and out of an abundance of caution, the father-of-one quarantined himself from his son. The father proudly documented their reunion after doctors deemed him no longer contagious.
