Amy Roloff Sees "Light at the End of the Tunnel" While Leaving Family Farm to Start New in New House

Amy Roloff is ready for the next phase of her life after making some big changes. The Little People, Big World star is leaving her family’s farmhouse after living there for more than 30 years with her family.

“I see light at the end of the tunnel as I move my things out of the farmhouse,” the mom of 4 wrote on Instagram as she reflected on the changes happening in her life.

“The basement area was tough. It reminded [me] how much I miss and love teaching. I can’t take it all with me though, just because, I’ll need to leave most of it behind and hopefully donate/give away to a good cause,” Amy continued.

Amy also said she is looking forward to spending even more time with her grandchildren now that the move is complete. She excitedly picked and packed a few of her favorite books to read to the kids.

“I hope to get many chances to read to my grandkids as much as possible. I think if I could have one room just full of books I would have it,” she wrote as part of her Instagram post. “Why I think libraries are so important in communities, especially small towns. Anyway… I’m rambling. I better get another box and fill it with books I just can’t leave behind or give away quite yet.” 

Roloff is also looking forward to the next phase of her life with fiancé Chris Marek. “He makes me laugh, my heart pitter-patters when I’m with him-think of him, I’m stronger, he keeps me on my toes, he loves me, helps me be a better me, enjoy just hanging out with him and of course, there’s love,” the matriarch wrote of her fiancé on Valentine’s Day.

The couple plans to get married in 2021. The new season of Little People, Big World will premiere on TLC on March 31.
