An investigation is ongoing after Succession and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star Alan Ruck crashed his truck into a Hollywood pizza place.
According to TMZ and KTLA 5, the crash occurred around 9 p.m. near “the busy intersection of La Brea Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.” KTLA has since obtained surveillance footage of how the crash occurred.
According to the video, Ruck was driving a Rivian truck when he allegedly rear-ended a car that was stopped at a traffic light. The impact seemingly caused the actor to lose control of his vehicle which then hit another “car before crashing through the wall of Raffallo’s Pizza shop,” KTLA reports.
KTLA further reports that at least one person was injured at the seen and taken to the hospital. The identity of that person or the extent of their injuries is not currently known. However, it’s reported that the injuries are non-life-threatening.
A fellow establishment owner near the crash told KTLA that “the whole building shook,” upon impact. “I thought a bomb or something had exploded,” Tim Ratcliff explained.
Ratcliff was one of the first people to run over to see if the actor was okay. According to Ratcliff, Ruck was more concerned with the others involved in the accident than himself.
“I asked him, ‘Are you okay?’ And the first thing out of his mouth was, ‘Is everyone [else] okay? I think I hit someone. Is he okay,’” Ratcliff recalled while talking with KTLA. At the time, Ruck couldn’t say why he crashed.
This report is developing.
