What should you expect in Week 9?
  • Your baby’s heartbeat can start being detected anywhere from week 8 to week 12! How exciting is that?
  • Their heart now has four distinct chambers, and the valves are beginning to form, the BabyList reports.
  • And although they can’t quite open their eyes yet, their eyelids are now fully formed!
  • Additionally, your baby’s muscles and bones are beginning to develop as well, and soon it will be your body that is supplying your baby with calcium.
  • This means it’s important to make sure you are getting enough calcium and vitamin D as well!
  • Over the next three weeks, your baby will start to gain significant amounts of weight.
  • As for you, Mama, if you’ve been experiencing morning sickness, it is likely at its peak! Hopefully, you should be experiencing some relief from that nausea soon!
  • You may also be feeling some cramping and headaches right now as well.
  • The cramping shouldn’t be cause for concern and may be due to dehydration, digestion, and growth. However, if the cramping becomes severe, please notify your doctor immediately.
