Reports suggest Liotta died in his sleep while on location. According to TMZ, his fiancée Jacy Nittolo was also in the Dominican Republic at the time of his passing.

According to reports, Jacy is a hairstylist, who has four children from a previous marriage. Liotta is also a father to one child, whom he shares with his ex-wife.

The last time Jacy posted a photo of herself and her fiancé was back in January when the pair vacationed in Saint Thomas. Based on her Instagram, the pair seemingly got engaged on Christmas Day in 2020.

In an interview with Live With Kelly and Ryan, Liotta shared that he and Jacy met through their children. And at first, Jacy wasn’t very impressed he was an actor, in fact, said “I want nothing to do with an actor whatsoever.”

Nonetheless, it seemed like Liotta won her offer. A source tells People that foul play is not suspected in Liotta’s death.

Liotta was raised in New Jersey after being adopted by his father Alfred and mom Mary. As People reports, the Emmy winner once opened up about how he feels about adoption.

“At first, I didn’t understand how a parent could give up a child. So I had that kind of energy of just being like, that’s f—ed up. And then when I finally met my birth mom in my 40s, by then, I wasn’t as angry about it. It’s just another journey. After years, you grow up, and you just see the pattern of things. I’ve definitely developed more patience. Now I’m grateful for my health. And being born. For my parents that adopted me. I mean, it could have gone a lot of different ways.”

Our thoughts and prayer are with Liotta’s family during this difficult time.
