Aaron Carter is a daddy! The pop singer revealed on Instagram on November 22 that he and his fiancée Melanie Martin have become parents.
According to Instagram, Martin endured 13 hours of labor before undergoing an emergency C-section. Carter shared how proud he is to become a father for the first time with a photo of him cutting the umbilical cord.

“Emergency C Section after 13 hours of labor but my fiancé is in great health thank you lord and the incredibly sweet loving staff here,” Carter wrote on Instagram before revealing that he and Martin welcomed a baby boy into the world.
The couple named their son Prince Lyric and as the singer revealed he “is precious.” “I love you son. Your mommy loves you as I drop tears on the phone. This is me cutting his umbilical cord. My precious family.”
Aaron Carter continued by letting Martin know just how enamored he is with her. “I’m so proud of you, Hunny. You did it. I love you with all my heart, my beautiful blessings from God.”
As Martin labored, Carter shared several videos video of himself and his fiancée in the hospital room hours before Prince’s arrival. “Here we go! I Love you, baby! You’re so strong! I’m right by your side nothing will happen to you with me here and the great staff Nurses and doctors.”
And his fans couldn’t be happier for him. “He is so precious!!! Congratulations you guys!! Love all 3 of you!! Xoxo,” one person wrote. “Congrats!!! There is no better feeling than meeting your child for the first time,” another comment read.
Carter and Martin first announced that they were engaged back on June 12, 2020. It’s unclear when they plan on saying their vows to each other.
Ten months after announcing their engagement, they announced that they were expecting their first child together in April. “We’re pregnant,” Aaron Carter wrote. “So blessed to have such an amazing woman. Mommy and daddy to be. Let’s do this baby.”
Sadly, in June 2020, a few months after announcing their first pregnancy, the couple revealed they had suffered a miscarriage. “She suffered a miscarriage due to stress conditions,” Aaron Carter revealed during a YouTube livestream. “We’re gonna give it some time, let her heal, and then we’re going to try again. We both want that. I gotta take care of her.”
Now, the couple has welcomed their rainbow baby into the world. Congratulations!
