Two years after becoming a wife, singer Meghan Trainor is now becoming a mother. On October 7, Trainor took to her Instagram account where she had been promoting her upcoming Christmas album to share the news that she and her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, are expecting their first child together.
It’s an announcement she had been dreaming of making her whole life, Trainor admitted in her statement.

Along with a photo of a sonogram among holiday bulbs and Christmas lights, Trainor wrote, “You all know how long I’ve wanted this!!!! Daryl Sabara and I are so beyond happy and excited to meet this little cutie early next year! WE’RE PREGNANTTTTT!!!”
Thousands of people, including a plethora of their famous friends offered their congratulatory messages in the comments section of her exciting post. Singer Perrie Edwards wrote, “Oh my goodness! Congratulations! I’m so happy for you both! You just know this little bundle of joy will be the sweetest & coolest with you two as parents!”
Model Ashley Graham added, “MEGHAN! I couldn’t be happier for you both!!!!!!!!!!!!” And actress Millie Bobbi Brown said, “OH MY!! CONGRATS! Love u guys xx.”
Equally as excited, Sabara also shared the same picture to his Instagram feed as well, writing, “I love you, Meghan Trainor and I can’t wait to start a family with you!” Just before sharing the news on Instagram, Trainor and Sabara first shared the news with Today Show host Hoda Kotb.
“We’re so excited we couldn’t sleep. We were thinking about who do I tell first, and I was like, I told Hoda since I was nineteen going to The Today Show [that] I will have the most babies in the world. It finally happened and we’re so excited.”
Trainor also revealed that she about halfway through the pregnancy and has had it “very easy so far.” The singer went on to say, “I do feel like I’m learning new things every single day. I realized how amazing women are. We’re all like, women are superheroes. This is crazy.”
