Remember when people had a field day with Elon Musk‘s newborn son’s unique name on Twitter. If you don’t, let us refresh your memory. It went a little something like this:
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, back in May, Elon Musk and his longtime girlfriend, singer Grimes, welcomed their first child together. They named the baby boy X Æ A-XII Musk. It is pronounced, Ex Ash A-Twelve.
The boy’s name has multiple meanings behind it, as Grimes revealed on Twitter. “X, the unknown variable. Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence) •A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent + (A=Archangel, my favorite song) (metal rat).”
Elon Musk Tells Reporter HIs Son’s Name Sounds Like a Password
Well, it seems as though even Elon is taken aback by the sound of his son’s name. While touring Giga Berlin, a European manufacturing plant for Tesla, Inc., Elon had an impromptu press conference with some of the reporters nearby.
During the interview, one of the reporters asked Elon about his son. “How is X Æ A-XII?” one of the reporters asked Elon who looked confused for a minute before the reporter asked the question again.
It was only then that Elon realized the reporter was talking about his now 4-month-old son, saying “Oh you mean my kid? That sounds like a password.” Elon went on to say that his son is “great. I think next time I’m going to bring him. You know, maybe come back in the next few months and bring him along.”
The couple has very rarely talked about their infant son since his birth and they have only shared a few photos of him with their social media followers. It’s unclear if Musk or Grimes have any intention of opening up about life with their son to the public any time soon.
