Back in November 2019, rapper Nicki Minaj‘s mom went on record saying that her 37-year-old daughter’s biological clock is ticking. The statements were made just after Minaj and her now-husband Kenneth Petty tied the knot in October.
After retiring from rapping, Minaj and Petty got married in a private ceremony. Soon after becoming a wife, Minaj’s mom, Carol Maraj, told The Shade Room that she’s anxiously awaiting the day her daughter tells her she’s pregnant. “I’m very happy that she got married. Her biological clock is ticking and it’s about time she got married and gave me some grandchildren. So I’m very happy.”
Now it seems that Maraj’s wish is coming true. While talking with her fans via Twitter, Nicki Minaj, in not so many words, revealed that she and Petty are expecting their first child together.
It all started when one fan asked Minaj, “Have you been cooking anything during this quarantine?” To which she responded by saying, “Absolutely. Steak. Shrimp. Plus my famous cheeseburgers. So good. Been really having red meat cravings then salad cravings with extra jalapeños. Ordered Chkn nachos that didn’t come w/jalapeños. Who does that? Wow.”
At the mention of “cravings,” another fan then asked, “Are you also throwing up in the morning and having to go to the bathroom a lot?” Knowing exactly what her followers were trying to get her to admit, Minaj cleverly responded by saying, “Lmao. No throwing up. But nausea and peeing nonstop. Omg, what do u think this means guys???? Lmaooooooooooo.”
But the real tell-all was when another follower asked her to post “a baby bump pic.” “Yea in a couple [of] months,” Minaj said. “The world ain’t ready yet.”
Now her fans don’t know what to think.
“Are you pregnant??? You keep playing,” one fan wrote after Minaj made her comments. “YOU’RE PREGNANT DKDJRKJFMDIDJRKR,” another added.
But Minaj only left it at that. So now only time and that baby bump picture will confirm this big news for Minaj and Petty.
