Britney Spears wants to have more children but the terms of her conservatorship and her father allegedly stopped her. She has been dating Sam Asghari for three years and the couple is very interested in starting a family together.
Britney’s father, Jamie Spears has acted as a conservator of his daughter’s personal and financial decisions since 2008.
“Britney told the probate investigator late last year she wanted to have a baby.”
“Britney told the probate investigator late last year she wanted to have a baby,” a source told US Weekly. “Her dad had always been against Britney getting pregnant.”
The Grammy-winning pop star was placed under a conservatorship in 2008 after she had a very public breakdown. Jamie Spears, 67, and lawyer Andrew Wallet were put in control of her personal and financial decisions. In June of 2019, Wallet stepped down as a co-conservator. Following that development, in September, Jamie also relinquished his powers due to “personal health reasons” to the singer’s care manager Jodi Montgomery.
In May of 2019, she was actively exploring a petition to the court to end the conservatorship.
She was “exploring formally petitioning the court to end the conservatorship.” However, the judge in the case issued an order last week that authorized Montgomery to remain as conservator until August 22. The extension was made out of necessity as California courts are close due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The “Toxic” singer has two children Sean, 14, and Jayden, 13, who she shares with her ex Kevin Federline.
Britney and Asghari have been dating since 2016 and have discussed marriage.
Britney and Asghari met on the set of her music video shoot for “Slumber Party.” Two years later, the couple was already talking “about having babies together.” She felt she was in a much better place and more mature than she was when she had her first two children in her early 20s.
In March 2019, she also expressed a desire to marry her boyfriend, who is also her personal trainer, but was unable because her father would not approve the marriage.
Jayden recently shared a few choice words about his grandfather.
We reported on an incident where Jayden, Britney’s youngest son, trashed his grandfather on Instagram Live.
“He’s a pretty big d***. He’s pretty f***ing g**. He can go die,” he said.
Jayden said he likes Asghari and also adores his dad, saying, “My dad’s literally Jesus.”
He then stated if he gets 5,000 Instagram followers, he will tell the full story. “That stuff will come out in the future when I get pretty popular.”
Then, the 13-year-old said that his mother might quit music altogether.
Before ending the live stream, Jayden said hinted that his mother might be finished with her music career. Shortly after the teen’s live stream, his account was deleted and a spokesperson for his father said Kevin Federline was not happy about it.
“Kevin was not happy to see that and he is addressing it as you would expect a responsible parent to address it,” Mark Vincent Kaplan said.
Britney hasn’t released an album in four years.
Fans were distraught at the thought of the musician not putting out more music. The claim is supported by the fact that the recording artist hasn’t released an album since August 2016.
In January of 2019, Britney canceled her second Las Vegas residency, Britney: Domination. She also spent a month in a mental health facility and announced that she would be taking an indefinite work hiatus to “be with my family … just like they have always been there for me.”
Now, we probably shouldn’t take the angry words of a 13-year-old boy as proof that Britney is planning on ending her music career. Taking time away from work to focus on personal matters is always smart if you have the time a privilege to afford it. We hope the courts open back up soon so that Britney and her family can reach an agreement about the conservatorship. Britney deserves to get married and have children if she’s healthy and able.
