When it comes to celebrities with Instagram, many of them have been using the Live feature on the platform to stay connected with their fans. Most recently, former pop sensation Aaron Carter got on Live to share the big news with his followers.
According to TMZ, Carter and his girlfriend, Melanie Martin became official in January. However, the first few months of their whirlwind relationship haven’t been easy. In March, Martin was arrested following a domestic violence dispute with Carter, which reportedly stemmed because Carter believed Martin was lying about being pregnant at the time.
As it turns out, Martin wasn’t lying and Carter proved it to his fans by showing off the positive pregnancy test Martin took. In an interview with People, Carter said he and Martin have been trying for this moment.
Aaron Carter Reveals He’s Going to Be a Dad
“This is what we both want. We both were trying for it. I’m just focused on the future and being a dad. I want to be a good dad. I’m focused, my music career has been doing really well and touring, having my clothing line out, all that stuff I have going for me that isn’t necessarily just music. Family is most important to me.”
Shortly after he began dating Martin, Carter tattooed her first name above one of his eyebrows. However, it was only three weeks ago that the singer took to Instagram to insist he was now single. “A bachelor’s life is no life for a single man. #Single.”

And although Carter and Martin are expecting a child together, it’s unclear if they decided to set aside their differences and give their relationship another shot or if they’ll choose to co-parent their future child.
