Mother Monster is looking forward to becoming a traditional mother. Lady Gaga recently opened up to InStyle magazine about everything from her efforts to combat the novel coronavirus/COVID-19 to her delayed album, Chromatica, to her plans for the future, including getting married and starting a family.
Gaga, who is currently dating tech investor Michael Polansky, has never been married, though she has been engaged twice. Having just turned 34, it sounds like the singer-actress-business-woman-fashion-icon-overall-legend is starting to think more seriously about settling down.
“I will say I am very excited to have kids,” Gaga told InStyle for their Beauty Issue, which she covers. “I look forward to being a mom.”

“Isn’t it incredible what we can do?” she continued. “We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive. It’s so funny — everyone works out of my house every day. When they come in, I always say, ‘Welcome to the Womb!'”
Gaga recently shared a photo of herself with boyfriend Michael Polansky.
InStyle also asked Gaga what was left on her list of things to achieve, considering she’s already done so much. (11 Grammys? Check! An Oscar? Check! Millions of albums and singles sold? Check!) Her response? “Marriage.”
No beating around the bush!
She continued: “More music, more movies, more charity with the Born This Way Foundation [a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and supporting mental health and wellness]. I want to do way more philanthropy. I want to help fund more research about fibromyalgia and neuropathic and chronic pain by putting a team of doctors together. I have a lot of dreams and hopes. What I will actually accomplish, I have no idea, but I know that I’ll be doing it with the people I love.”
Gaga was set to release her sixth solo studio album, Chromatica, on April 10, but she delayed its release due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. “It just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic,” she said in a statement.

Earlier this week, she announced that she has spent the last several weeks partnering with the World Health Organization and Global Citizen to raise money from corporations for coronavirus/COVID-19 relief. The money will go to buy equipment for medical professionals, testing kits, food programs, and local organizations on the front lines. They have so far raised at least $35 million.
This will all culminate with a televised concert special on April 18 called “One World: Together at Home.” Gaga curated a list of participants who will all perform or appear from their respective homes. The special will air on several major networks simultaneously.
“We want to celebrate and highlight the singular kind global community and celebrate the power of the human spirit,” she said in a statement posted to Twitter.
At the end of her announcement, she added, “This broadcast is not a fundraiser. We will raise the money before we go on air, so when we do go live, put your wallets away and sit back and enjoy the show that you all deserve. I love you all.”
Sounds like her maternal instincts are working fine already. We can’t wait for Gaga to become a mom!
