How would you react if you were going through hours of labor and your husband decided that, right then and there, in the middle of the hospital room, he was going to film a video for TikTok? Well, that’s what one husband did, and now he and his unimpressed wife are going viral.
According to Buzzfeed, 27-year-old Kareem Antar and his wife Krystle were very excited to become parents for the first time. However, while Krystle was busy preparing to birth their child, Kareem decided to fill the time by recording a video of himself dancing next to the hospital bed where Krystle was experiencing intense contractions.

As you can see in the video, and as Kareem very clearly pointed out, Krystle had no idea what her husband was doing at first. And then when she figures it out, she was extremely unimpressed by Kareem’s behavior.

In fact, just as Krystle was getting ready to tell Kareem to stop, the video also captures one of her intense contractions before welcoming their son into the world. “I was completely shocked that he had the audacity to make a TikTok during my contractions,” Krystle told BuzzFeed. “But that’s typical Kareem, he is just a lovable and goofy guy.”

Krystle continued telling Buzzfeed that while she was “annoyed” in that particular moment, she’s now happy that her husband was able to capture that singular moment in time. “However, looking back, I’m happy that the baby gets to see who his dad really is,” she said. “And that Kareem has one funny character and can make light of any given situation.”
Additionally, Krystle added that while giving birth during a global health crisis was frightening, she and their son are doing well and have since been able to go home as a family of three. Congratulations!
