Police discovered the body of a 6-month-old baby in a North Carolina cemetery this past Saturday just two days after the child was reported missing, according to officials.
The infant was identified as Chi-Liam Cody Brown-Erickson by the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiners according to a Matthews Police Department news release. Chi was found around 4:03 a.m. in the Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte.
Chi, along with his mother, Tamara Jernel Brown, 30, were reported missing from the area of Matthews this past Thursday around 10 p.m. according to a local news station, WBTV.
Brown was later discovered Friday night and arrested in a separate incident in the area of Galleria Blvd, the release revealed.
Brown was charged with common law robbery and two counts of assault on a government official, according to records on the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office website.
Police also reported that Chi-Liam was not with his mother at the time of her arrest, which led to officials issuing out an Amber Alert.
