Kailyn Lowry first became a household name when she allowed cameras to follow her life as a teen mom. And soon after the first season of MTV’s Teen Mom 2 aired, the 27-year-old became a fan favorite.
Now, nine years after the premiere of “Teen Mom 2,” Lowry is a soon-to-be mom of four, according to her most recent Instagram post. On February 4, Lowry took to social media to announce that she and her three oldest kiddos are excited about the newest addition to their family.

Teen Mom 2‘s Kailyn Lowry Announces She’s Pregnant With Baby Number 4
Lowry wrote, “We’re confirming the news, baby #4 is coming soon! I’m almost 16 weeks pregnant and it’s been a rough few months this time around. I’ve had nausea, morning sickness, and absolutely no energy.”
The soon-to-be mom of four wrote that she has started to “feel a bit better” and that she’s “really hoping it stays that way.” She also used her pregnancy announcement to talk about the Peanut app, which is a “social network for women to connect across fertility and motherhood.” The app is meant to be a place for moms to “build friendships, find support, and learn from one another.”
Lowry continued, “Peanut has been an amazing support for me since I found out I was pregnant again. Going through nausea and morning sickness while trying to keep the news a secret can be quite isolating. There are so many helpful threads on the app from other women who have been through it too.”
As the mom admitted, “It’s always reassuring to know you’re not alone. Whether you’re already a mom, pregnant, or trying to conceive, I really recommend you join the Peanut community. It’s an amazing space to build friendships, find support and learn from other women at a similar stage in life. There’s nothing like support from other women to get you through.”
According to MTV, Lowry currently has three sons, 10-year-old Isaac Elliot Rivera, 2-year-old Lux Russell Lowry, and 6-year-old Lincoln Marshall Marroquin. As Us Weekly reports, Lux and her fourth child will share the same father, Chris Lopez.
However, her Teen Mom 2 co-stars couldn’t be happier for their friend and they’re all hoping for a baby girl. As her former co-star, Janelle Evans told E! News, “Congrats. Maybe this time it will be a baby girl. I wish her the best.”
While her close friend, Leah Messer, added, “Honestly, I’m so happy for Kail and her boys! What exciting news. I have a feeling this might be the little girl she has always wanted. However, happy and healthy is all that matters. I can’t wait to meet him or her!”

Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, Lowry took to her Instagram story to ask for some name suggestions. She also revealed like her pregnancy with Lux, she’s experiencing subchorionic hematoma.
According to Healthline, subchorionic hematoma “occurs when the placenta detaches from the original site of implantation. It affects the chorionic membranes. These lift apart and form another sac between the placenta and the uterus. The movement and resulting clots are what cause this type of bleeding.” It is painless and most common during the first trimester.
In 2018, Lowry told Us Weekly that she experienced multiple miscarriages before getting pregnant with Lux. “Before I got pregnant with Lux and had multiple miscarriages, my doctor told me I should be thankful that I have two healthy boys and what’s meant to be will be.
At the time of the interview, she thought Lux would be her last child, but if she did have another baby, she would hope Lopez would be the father. “I kind of have that perspective now. In my book, I said that Lux will probably be my last child. I would definitely have more, but I also know that my life isn’t really set up for another right now. Ideally, I would have liked Chris to be the father of my next child.”
Lowry once admitted that she didn’t want to have a fourth child until she was engaged, it’s unclear if Lopez and Lowry have taken that next step yet.
