While visiting the Birtley Community Pool during his latest royal visit, Prince William shared some insight into Prince George’s personal life.
On Oct. 3, while talking with those in attendance, William revealed his 11-year-old son, the future King of England, loves to scuba dive.
“George loves scuba diving,” the prince shared, according to Hello! “He’s 11 years old. We took him under thinking he would freak out. He absolutely loves it.”
“It’s just introducing him to the world of water,” Prince William continued.
While Prince George’s latest interest may come as a surprise to some, it shouldn’t because both Prince William and Princess Catherine enjoy scuba diving as well.
In 2023, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a video of them scuba diving in the Bahamas with Coral Vita in 2022.
The husband and wife were again seen scuba diving in Belize that same year, this time looking at the barrier reef.
The prince also shared that he and his family enjoyed watching the Olympics from home this summer, saying he didn’t attend in person because of Princess Catherine’s ongoing cancer battle.
“I was so keen to come, but I have to say after reading someone’s interview about COVID I decided, because my wife was obviously having chemo, that I didn’t want to risk bringing COVID home, so Adam very kindly reminded me that that was still a thing,” William said, according to Hello!.
In September, Catherine revealed she had completed her chemotherapy treatments and would begin making public appearances again.
“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Catherine said in her video.
“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
