The children of late model Kim Porter are breaking their silence over allegations that she wrote a book prior to her death.
They also slammed ongoing rumors that Porter was “tragically murdered” in 2018. Porter died of pneumonia in Nov. 2018 at the age of 47.
“We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents relationship, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out,” the four children wrote.
Quincy Taylor Brown, 33, Christian Combs, 26, and twins Jessie Combs and D’Lila Combs, 17, released the joint statement in an Instagram post on Sept. 24.

Combs’ children deny rumors that Porter wrote a book about Diddy
“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not,” they wrote in the Instagram post. “And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.”
The comment comes just a few weeks after a 60-page book, titled Kim’s Lost Words, was published by Chris Todd, who claims that the book is a collection of diaries that Porter shared with her friends.
“I was lucky enough to meet someone that purported to have Kim Porter’s flash drive,” Todd said in an interview with The Daily Mail.
The book was self-published on Sept. 6, just days after Diddy was indicted for a series of serious crimes.
“Please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend,” the four children added. “Nor do they have her best interests at heart.”
Porter died on Nov. 15, 2018, in Toluca Lake, CA, according to the LA County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. She died from lobar pneumonia after experiencing flu-like symptoms for several days.
“While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established,” they said addressing the long-running rumor that Porter’s death was more sinister. “There was no foul play.”
Quincy, along with his three half-siblings, were quick to debunk what they’re describing as “horrific conspiracy theories.”
The clarification comes just one day after Quincy’s biological father, Al B. Sure!, acknowledged the rumor in an Instagram post on Sept. 23. Quincy was legally adopted by Diddy in 1994.
“We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives,” they wrote, adding that their mother “should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind and loving woman she was.”
Porter’s children didn’t comment on any of the other legal issues surrounding Diddy, but ended their statement with one last wish regarding their mother.

“We ask that everyone please respect our mother and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves,” they wrote. “We love you and miss you mommy.”
