“Vanderpump Rules” stars are officially over.
After separating earlier this year, “Vanderpump Rules” alum Brittany Cartwright has taken the next step to officially ending her 5-year marriage to co-star Jax Taylor.
In new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Cartwright has officially filed for divorce.
In the documents, Cartwright listed their date of separation as Jan. 24. Irreconcilable differences was the reason given for their divorce.
Cartwright and Taylor share one child together, a 3-year-old son; Cruz. Cartwright is asking for primary legal and physical custody of Cruz, while being open to visitation for Taylor, TMZ reports.
Cartwright also requested that spousal support be blocked to either of them.
Taylor and Cartwright first started dating in 2015. They got engaged in 2018 and married in 2019.
Paparazzi photos showed Cartwright moving items out of the home she shared with her estranged husband just a day before filing.
On July 30, a spokesperson for Taylor confirmed that he made the decision to seek in-patient treatment for mental health struggles while going through the separation, The New York Post reported.
“Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “He has made the decision to seek in-patient treatment. This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on this matter.”
Taylor has not yet shared a personal statement since Cartwright filed for divorce.
